About Lakshmi Vilas Bank: Lakshmi Vilas Bank was established  in 1926 by a group of seven businessmen of Karur. The main objective for the establishment  was to cater to the financial needs of people in and around Karur who were running trading businesses, industry and agriculture. The incorporation date of the bank was November 3, 1926 under the Indian Companies Act, 1913.It  obtained the certificate to commence business on November 10, 1926. it also obtained its banking license from RBI on 19,June 1958.Now it is a schedule commercial bank.

The head office of the Lakshmi Commercial bank is situated in Chennai Tamil Nadu. It has more than 3500 employees. It has 500 branches across India.The total no of ATM(Automated Telly Machines) is 500 across different places of a country. The online exam for probationary officers was conducted in the month of May 2017 across different parts of a country i.e Chennai, Coimbatore, Salem, Madurai, Karur, Bangalore, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Vishakapatnam, Mumbai, Kolkatta, Ranchi, Ahmedabad, Bhopal.
